Early this year, my clients asked me to be a witness to their court wedding, which I happily agreed to! They had to find a judge & schedule a time before leaving the country in June, but it was proving to be difficult on short notice, so I suggested they find a friend/family member to get ordained – just in case. As weeks started to go by without a judge, they decided to ask me if I was willing to get ordained & to perform the ceremony. I was so honored!
I became an ordained minister on April 30th & performed their wedding just last night! It was small & intimate, with their long time friends, as well as their dogs! Of course, the pups thought I was there for them & interrupted the ceremony to beg for treats & to wrestle in the background. 😂
Now that I’m ordained, I’m available to perform weddings, baptismals, funerals, & house blessings for a small donation. Though, I think I’ll stick just weddings & house blessings until I get more experience.
